DisPlay: Exploring climate anxiety in local autistic teens and planting seeds of Future in Pembrokeshire

The call went out targeting those local autistic teens (aged 14- 17) in Pembrokeshire who care for the Earth and experience climate anxiety actually. Through several story telling and sharing creative tasks, we tried out together Nature Connection and Eco-Awakening practices and peer reflected in a creative way how to reconnect with the sacred web of life.

In this DAC sponsored project, we worked experientially with elements deriving from the concepts of climate anxiety and utilizing Nature Connection as well as Eco-Awakening practices to mitigate it. We weaved threads of the work of Thomas Berry, Joanna Macy and Bill Plotkin with Nature wanders, Arts and Rituals. We learned through the mind, but also through the heart and body and soul. Most importantly, we planted the seeds we would acquire into future actions for our communities.
