Come along for a weekend of art and chance encounters at Spit and Sawdust. Take a chance festival will incorporate chance in all forms, from audiences taking a chance on engaging with an art event, to happening upon artworks by chance.

Each of the six Engagement Producers will be responsible for delivering a set of events, activities and outcomes as listed. As a means to identify and structure this aspect of our overall public programming, each Engagement Producer will be assigned to undertake in-depth research into one of the shortlisted Artes Mundi 11 artists.

Could your creativity help spread the National Conversation on mental wellbeing? Public Health Wales would like to commission 6 artists to create high-quality digital content on the theme of “inspiring action to protect and promote mental wellbeing”. This will support Hapus – our long-term programme to help protect and improve the mental wellbeing of people in Wales.

In partnership with Welsh homelessness charity The Wallich, ‘An Orange in the Subway’ will be performed outdoors at Mackenzie Park, Cardiff. Featuring a cross-over cast and creative team of The Wallich service users and seasoned professionals, ‘The Other Room’ embraces its new nomadic normal with this latest production.
