Oriel Davies Gallery welcomes DAC members to the Pop Up Space event on Friday 14 November, 1 - 3:30 pm.

This new exhibition brings together seven Deaf artists from Our Visual World, each presenting work that weaves together themes of activism and personal narrative.

Photographs can be a way of keeping memories alive, but accessing photographs relies on the ability to see and process visual information. I can turn a 2d image into a 3d tactile photo relief, enabling someone to 'see' a photograph through touch.

Using a line from a 1970s folk rock song as a starting point and theme, this illustrated lecture performance takes a discursive and digressive look at divergent experiences of time.

Literature Wales, in partnership with Disability Arts Cymru, is once more delighted to invite Deaf and/or Disabled and/or Neurodiverse writers based in Wales to apply for a space on our Reinventing the Protagonist Retreat followed by online one-to-one tutorials in the spring-summer 2026.

The exhibition opens at 2pm Saturday 1st November at Queen Street Gallery, Neath. It will run until 29th November.

Following our last Cwrdd event, where we heard from Dominic Williams (write4word) about the Ripples project, Dominic has sent us information about how members can get involved.

This is a £1,200 commission for an artist to create a Comic-Book/ Graphic Novel style product that distils some important qualitative research into the experiences of (challenges faced by/barriers experienced by) women academics with mental health conditions in the higher education sector.

Mark Jones is a volunteer and Transport Ambassador with Gig Buddies Cymru, a project run by Learning Disability Wales that connects people with learning disabilities and autism with volunteers who share their interests.

Disability Arts Cymru is thrilled to announce the artists who have been selected for the Effaith commissions, in partnership with Amgueddfa Cymru and with Corsydd Calon Môn.

DAC Member Rachel Carney was commissioned by SHAPE Arts to create a poetry-film last year. Rachel is now hosting a launch event for the film, an in-person event in Cardiff at g39 on Thursday 30 October.

Our Artist of the Month for October is Visual Artist Lyn Lording-Jones, a painting, drawing and sketchbook artist in Penmaenmawr, North Wales.

The seventh AGM of Disability Arts Cymru, Registered, charity number 1175678, will take place on Wednesday 01 October 2025 04:00pm to 05:00pm. To enable as many members as possible to participate, the event will be held on Zoom. Captioning and BSLI will be available. There will also be performances by DAC Members during the event.

DAC Artist TanOren has created 'Quirky Chirky' as part of Navigating through Time. TanOren has also written an article about her Painting and Collage of the Ladies of Llangollen 'The Power of Two' for Cynfas.
