COURSE DETAILS
As part of a nationwide training programme, we are delighted to announce that Media Cymru have teamed up with BBC Studios Drama Productions in association with Spotlight, to offer 10 Wales-based deaf, disabled and neurodivergent (DDN) actors, the chance to take part in an informative and inspiring Soap acting skills workshop in Cardiff.
This first one day masterclass aimed at DDN talent with no TV experience will be held at Roath Lock Studios in Cardiff on 5th March 2025 and will be run by an experienced director, providing invaluable advice about the specifics of being on a Soap set, what happens behind the scenes as well as the opportunity to perform a scene from (Wales-based) Casualty on camera.
There will also be the chance to learn about self-tape and audition etiquette via a Q&A with the director and members of the BBC Studios casting team, as well as advice on showreels and making the most of a Spotlight or Acting profile.
The training will take place in fully accessible rooms and studios, with breakout (quiet) rooms, regular breaks, refreshments and catering.
