Artist of the Month is a feature where we put the spotlight on the incredible work of one of our members.
Our Artist of the Month is Tobias Weatherburn, a multi award nominated bilingual Welsh Actor & Voice actor with experience across Stage, Screen, Video Games, Audio Dramas and Commercials. Read on below to find out more!
What do you do?
I am an Actor and Voice actor working across a range of different mediums including theatre, screen, voice over and most frequently now in Video games, animation and audio drama. I graduated drama school back in 2015 (realising it’s been a decade makes me feel old…) and feel incredibly lucky to still be able to work across so many different things I love after that time.

How did you get into voice?
I started working more in voice predominantly because of Covid. In Lockdown I found myself (like so many other creatives) unable to pursue the work I once did and needed to find a different way to work. I decided to give Voice-over a go as it’s something I’d always been interested in and something I'd be able to do from home. So, I basically gutted a cupboard in the house, sound proofed it and went from there! I did a lot of small commercial and explainer work to begin with and then found myself being able to shift more into games and animation in 2022 after signing with a wonderful agent who’s afforded me some amazing opportunities. I now work a lot more in studios in London but still have my booth for home recordings which is incredibly useful!
Any advice for people who want to pursue this kind of work?
Firstly, it’s an incredibly difficult industry. I love getting to work in a field that I’ve always wanted to be in and I count myself lucky every day that I'm able to. But it is full of knock backs and really difficult periods without work. You have to steel yourself to deal with constant rejection and times with no work. But if it’s something you’re passionate about then go for it. It’s a wonderful fulfilling career. But on your journey, look after yourself and look after your mental health. Self-love and self-care are so important for times when you’re down and overwhelmed by imposter syndrome. Good luck to anyone pursuing it and I hope you get to do it!

What are you most proud of?
I’ve been lucky enough to work on an amazing variety of projects so far but of the ones I can talk about I’d say getting to voice Jon Snow in GOT: Kingsroad was a big one. The GOT franchise is so big and iconic It felt daunting to be voicing such a beloved character but an amazing experience to be a part of. I’d also say being a playable character in Warhammer, 40,000: Space Marine 2 was an absolute dream come true. I’ve played games since I was little so being able to voice a character I can play as felt amazing. Outside of games I’d have to say I’m incredibly proud to be one of the lead actors in the audio drama podcast ‘Camlann’. Getting to voice a queer Welsh character meant I got to bring a lot of myself to the role and the show has had an amazing impact for an indie show hitting 150,000 downloads before series one ended! We’re hoping to do series 2 soon so watch this space...
What upcoming work can you talk about?
In games… very little. The joys of this art of the industry is that so much of the work is under NDA until it releases so I can say nothing until launch. But I can say there’s a few games I’m in coming out this year and several more next year! Basically, you’ll be hearing me in a few different exciting places soon! What I can say is I recently worked on a feature film as the lead actor which will be releasing next year (which was an amazing experience) and I’m part of a theatre project happening later this month! If you want to keep up to date with any of my work follow me on instagram and bluesky! I also sometimes stream games I’m in on Twitch.
