The Art of Textiles

Attention all textile artists, designers, and creative individuals! Queen Street Gallery are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to participate in our second International Textile Exhibition following the success of our previous one in 2024.

We invite you to submit your textile artwork for this wonderful show. No need for new work, existing work can be submitted.

We were delighted to have had such a huge response to our global call for submissions in 2024, and we showcased the work of 71 artists representing twelve countries! 

This exhibition featured 89 pieces of work, exhibiting an incredible variety of contemporary textile art, in various mediums and techniques, all of which communicate to us the individual artist’s skill and ideas. 

Wales has a rich history of textile production, particularly in South-west Wales where there were 325 woollen mills by 1895. With its hilly terrain and plentiful river water, Wales witnessed unprecedented growth in the textile industry, utilizing local sheep wool to create exquisite textiles. Textile art today reflects on the past and envisions the future, becoming a complex examination of present-day life.

-Location: Neath, south Wales, UK

-Online Submission Deadline: 30th April 2026.

-£15 submission fee per entry.

-Exhibition Dates: 6th – 27th June 2026

-Artists can submit up to 4 entries with a max size 100 x 100cm No restrictions on materials or techniques. Artwork should be ready for display/hanging. If there is a particular way to hang the piece(s) please let us know in advance e.g. installation pieces.
